At last night’s HMAs, Amy Adams presented the Hollywood Actor Award to Benedict Cumberbatch. Kaiser covered Bendy here. Amy was in a sequin cap sleeve Christian Dior which fit her like a glove. This looks like the perfect holiday dress, I love the colors in this. Great showing by Amy and those cranberry shoes are perfect, they’re by Paul Andrew.
Here’s Hilary Swank in Oakwell Couture. She presented the Hollywood Screenwriter Award, which went to Gillian Flynn for Gone Girl. I really like that gown, she looks incredible and the effect would be elegant if it wasn’t for her styling. On camera, her high top pony looked goofy and those giant round earrings also distracted from the dress.
Geena Davis presented the Hollywood Career Achievement Award to her old costar, Michael Keaton. The clips they played got me nostalgic for the late 80s. Geena and Michael starred in Beetlejuice (1988) and Speechless (1994) together. Keaton is getting a lot of buzz now for Birdman, which should score him an Oscar nom. I don’t have much to say about her dress or anything, she looks great and I just enjoyed seeing Geena and Michael together again!
Finally here’s Janelle Monae looking quirky cute in Kate Spade. I like that she has her own unique style but that it seems somewhat effortless and not try hard. Jenelle performed her song “What Is Love?” from Rio 2, which won the Hollywood Song Award. Props to her for performing live and not lip syncing. Her speech was really nice too.
